NORTH SEA LIONS
Contribution to create a spirit of better international understandingā¦
For nearly twenty-eight years nine European districts, nearly six hundred
Lions Clubs and sixteen thousand Lions support and care for people in the third world.
It was in 1979 that Past District Governor Lion John Court of District 105M,
together with some other inspired district governors from The Netherlands, founded a small associa- tion with the aim to work together on meaningful international projects in the third world for those in need. North Sea Lions was born! More districts followed very quickly and today North Sea Lions is repre- sented in Denmark, England, Germany and The Netherlands. All participating districts in these countries appoint one 'voting' mem- ber to the association. These officers inform all the member districts and their clubs on any project and the progress thereof. Apart from the association's dedica- tion to improve the quality of life for many people less fortunate than them- selves, serving and working together has also brought unique international fellowship.
The long term activities of North Sea Lions are still unique in the Lions world.
